Floral Event Recap

This past month, we held our second Gather Event of 2024 and look forward to more in 2025! Floral Designer, Heather Eicholzer, from Calluna Flower Co. hosted a successful floral design class at the picturesque Proctor Mansion Inn.

With 23 attendees, the Victorian mansion provided the perfect backdrop for a room full of flowers and smiling faces. Heather taught us about professional arrangements and quizzed us on creating the perfect Thanksgiving centerpiece.

Guests enjoyed individual charcuterie boxes, our signature Autumn Craft Cocktail/Mocktail: The Spiced Dog, and tea and coffee from the Inn’s adorable teacup collection. The atmosphere was filled with soft music and holiday anticipation. Many made new friends, and some brought family, colleagues, and vendors. We’re excited for more events in 2025 and welcome suggestions.

The Nutty Dog

Inspired by the event, we’ve created a new seasonal cocktail/mocktail for the winter holidays: The Nutty Dog, a hot buttered nutmeg espresso martini. Whether you're serving one or serving a crowd, we have you covered. The recipe will be posted on our socials, and as a fun gift for reading the newsletter!

Storage Solutions for Post-Christmas Clean-Up

Having an organized Christmas clean-up this year can help keep you headache-free as you take out your decorations next year. Don’t have a process for taking down Christmas decorations and ornaments? We’re here to help!

  1. Clear Storage Bins with Labels: Use clear bins so you can see what's inside, and label them by holiday or item type (like "Tree Decor" or "Ornaments").
  2. Ornament Storage Box: Invest in an ornament storage box with dividers to protect your fragile decorations and keep them organized for next year. Proper storage can preserve the longevity of your precious items.
  3. Wreath Storage Bags: Store wreaths in protective bags to prevent them from being crushed or damaged in storage.
  4. Gift Wrap Organizer: Keep your wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows in a hanging gift wrap organizer that fits neatly in a closet or under the bed. Or, opt for a wall mounted or behind the door wrapping solution. We love the Elfa Utility Gift Wrapping over the door solution.
  5. Over-the-Door Shoe Organizer: Repurpose a clear over-the-door shoe organizer to store small holiday items like bows, ribbons, small ornaments, or craft supplies.
  6. Garland Storage Bag: Long, flexible storage bags help protect garlands and prevent tangles.
  7. Under-Bed Storage Bins: Store seasonal items under the bed to save space in your closets and garages.
